Alaskan caribou

Another absolutely beautiful animal is the caribou. Their antlers probably my 2nd favorite because they are so different and interesting.
Domestic caribou are often called reindeer but they are the same species but their are subspecies. So when you think of Santa's reindeers, here's it is!

Caribou can symbolize a personal or spiritual journey. In some cultures the caribou spirit is a guide, carrying and leading people to the spirit world and back.
